Compass Point Studio inspired ‘Heaven’ makes the fourth single from collab project between singer-songwriter Findlay Brown and producer slash dj legend Kenneth Bager.
‘Heaven’ continues the duo’s melodic, colorful electronic pop. Decked with disco strings and a cracking bassline, the production reaches back to Paradise Garage/ Area and the New York post-disco scene of the 80’s. A fitting backdrop for Findlay Brown’s starry-eyed vocals: “Heaven is a state of mind/Heaven in all that you find/Everything else is a lie.” Somewhere in the beats lies a nod to NYC legend Larry Levan for the heavy influence he has made on Kenneth Bagers 45 years of Djing.
The collaborative album is set to release in early 2025 on Bager’s own label Music For Dreams.
