Hailing from the north of Sweden, the now Malmö-based producer Ivar Lantz has quickly shaped his own eccentric sound as a solo artist under the name Golden Ivy as well as through his collaborations with Prins Emanuel on the duos own label Fasaan Recordings. Opting for simple and sometimes lo-fi techniques, Ivar brings out the warmth in the drum machines and synthesizers he commands to churn out funky downtempo grooves and serene new age tropical ballads. On his debut EP for Music For Dreams: To Elvira From Ivy With Love (originally a birthday gift to his fiancée), he weaves six tracks of stripped down balearic house with a Compass Point sensibility.
