Kenneth Bager is Denmark’s most prodi- gious DJ, and a global torchbearer of new Balearic, chill, and electronica. To- gether his label, Music For Dreams, he has helped to re-popularize chill-out mu- sic in its spiritual home of Ibiza.
Kenneth is also the promoter of the inter- nationally renowned Coma Club in Co- penhagen. He also hosts a weekly show on Ibiza Sonica, Cafe Mambo Radio, and Dublab Radio. Moreover, he has his own Radio Station ‘Music For Dreams Ra- dio’ available at: musicfordreams.dk/ra- dio/ and on App.
Sunset Sessions Vol. 9 is a compilation filled to the rim with beachy vibes in the wake of the corona pandemic and iso- lation.
Noticeable amongst the numerous ex- clusive tracks that have taken part in this compilation, is the opener ‘Atlantish’ (Kenneth Bager Edit) by Laudness with swaying synths, violin, and bells, that flashbacks to the early 90’ties Sun- set/Cafe Del Mar moments. ‘Gravity and Beyond’ by danish legends Nordsø & Theill forms another magical moment. Conspicuous as well is Santino Surfers with Sun Rise Swell (Chris Coco Dub Mix), a tune that’s full of Jonas Krags impres- sionable guitar playing and deep bassline, all of which is taken to the dub heaven by Chris Coco. The Ibiza lords DJ Pippi & Willie Graff are contributing with the title track of their forthcoming album ‘Piel to Piel’, a track featuring Charlotte C’s sensualized voice, keeping this Music For Dreams collab stuck in your head. Also, Copenhagen newcomers DJ DIVO & OliO has made a dub inspired, almost Gotan Project like, remix of danish guitar player Jacob Gurevitsch and, the Span- ish flamenco queen, Buikas newly re- leased single ‘Melancolía’. This is fol- lowed by the powerful chipmunks, Bale- aric boogie monster and Ibiza resident Lucci Capris ‘Boom Boom Clap’. Further- more, Anders Ponsaing & Claus Højensgård has done their take on Lau- rent Garnier – ‘The Man with the Red Face’.
Every track total to the beachy feeling of sand between your toes, no matter where you are these days.
