Kenneth Bager – Awarded Pioneer Prize at The Danish Music Critics Awards – Steppeulven 2022

Our Label Boss scooped the Pioneer prize at last nights Steppeulven Award Show in Copenhagen.

English:
“The pioneer has at times liked to refer to himself as a peasant ass, and if it still fits, it is at least an unusually cool, far-sighted, curious, stubborn, festive and globally oriented peasant ass who receives the Pioneer Award. He’s not really a musician at all. But if music is to live, it needs someone to come with some big ears and say: That where it moves. And who afterwards takes the music under his arm and plays it for other people. At a club, at a bar, on the radio or placing the song on a well-curated playlist or compilation. That kind of is the Pioneer of the Year in. He makes music himself, and then he is a mediator of music. For more than 40 years he has helped musicians and songs find an audience ”.
